In the Snow at an Ancient Site

 Again, on the planet Skyren, and in the frozen north. Both a Mechinicus and a Greenskin force stumble into each other while drawn to an unknown, ancient urban ruin located in a sunken valley. The lure of archaeotech is high.

One Boyz Mob rushes forward towards Skitarri and Kastelan, to draw off defender fire so others can approach. And they do take losses...

When some Skitarri advance in the center, closer to the Greenskins, some Boyz charge successfully into them and annihilate them...

Replacing most of their losses through a tactical skill, the orks on the right charge and destroy another unit of Skitarri screening those Kastelans...

More Boyz supported by the Deff Dredd, take down some War Servitors and most of a Skitarri band...

The Kastelans take down the Boyz with the exception of their Nob...

In the center, some Boyz take serious fire from the defending Skitarii...

The Boyz get some revenge as they finish off the wounded Skitarri along with the Tech Priest Dominus...

The Nob is no match for a pair of Kastelans...

The Skitarri defending the right flank are charged by more Boyz, and they lose most of their members. This has the appearance of an absolute disaster for the forces of the Omnissiah...

The last of the Skitarri stationed on a high point in the ruins, inflict some serious hits on the Boyz preparing to charge them. Note the Warboss and his Nobs approaching at the top...

On the right, the Marshall and his last Skitarri are lost to the Orks...

The Warboss, Nobs, and Boys shoot down some unfortunate Servitors as they move in on the last remaining Skitarii (just barely seen in upper right)...

But the fight completely in one turn! With the Mechinicus force nearly wiped out, The Kastelan Robots charge the Warboss and his Nobs, and destroy them all! The Greenskins fall back in disarray. Talk about a complete reversal! So the Omnissiah will search through the ruins after all.

Orks meet their Match

 Following their capture of Facility X26B, the Greenskins sent out numerous Mobs to search for additional loot. One such group came across an isolated Mechinicus station, lightly garrisoned. Ork vehicles moved in...

Some Mechinicus riders pushed out against the Dragsta doing some damage...

The Greenskins close in for what they believe will be a massacre, striking down some of those flyers...

The Squigbuggy and a warbike are destroyed, but so are additional flyers...

The Draggsta still fights, have destroyed the last two riders, but the damnable Mechinicus send more fighters...

Some of the Boyz and some SquigsBoyz despatched yet more of the red-coated metal warriors...

The last of the flyers gets grounded as the Warboss on his Wartrike smash it down...

Then the Mechinicus tank goes up n flames, as their Walker tries to hold them back. It seems hopeless...

A SquigBoyz goes down and so does the Draggsta...finally! But now everyone notices a deep rumbling sound, and the quaking ground from the direction of a snowstorm behind the Mechinicus position...

A towering monster appears through the snow! It is a might Imperial Knight come to wreck havoc on the Emperor's enemies!

It mighty Volcano Lance Cannon blast Orks to pieces, as some of the Greenskins try to melee with the beast!

With the destruction of their Warboss, as well as the Big Trakk, the remaining Greenskins call it a day, a retreat from the field. Victory to the Emperor and the Omnissiah!

Facility X26B

 The Greenskins have begun to move into the northern polar regions as they approach a small Adeptus Mechinicus Mining Facility; the Orcs' left...

and their right...

The defenders consist of PDF forces assisting Mechanicus Slatarii and other units; on their left...

and their right...

The Battlewagon (which has taken a few hits) and Trukks race forward...

The Big Trakk charges ahead...

The Greenskins artillery pounds the Mechinicus tank (yellow die shows hits remaining)...

The defenders on the far right are nearly destroyed...

In the center, the Orks smash through the PDF and Mechanicus units...

On the defenders right, another Mechanicus Skatarii is destroyed...

The Boyz pay the price of earlier victory, while the Big Trakk and the tanks destroy each other...

While a Nob and some Boyz go down, the PDF is overwhelmed...

In a brutal melee, only the Dominus Priest still stands while Skatarii reserves wait their turn...

While some more Boyz take losses, they prepare to charge...

But on the Orks right flank, only a lonely Mek still stands...

The Dominus goes down as a Trukk charges the Skatarii reserves...

The Greenskins are cleaning up and the Mechanicus forces will retreat...

An Imperial and Orc Recon Clash

 Attempting to locate their enemy's forces, both the Greenskins and Imperials have despatched reconaissance units into the northern wastes. Auspex readings have been so badly affected, that only visual contacts may be trusted.

The first of the orks seen by the Imperials (seen at the top: 4x Chimers and Sentinels each)), is a group of Killa Kans led by a Deff Dredd...

Long range fire destroys one Kan...

Both of the forces deployed have now been sighted!

The Orks lose a Squigbuggy and another 'Kan...

Hits are however, beginning to mount up on the Chimeras...

The Orks begin to reach melee, taking down the first Sentinel while losing more of their own...

A Big Trakk drops off its Boyz as they begin their assault on a Sentinel...

The Dragsta attempts unsuccessfully, to engage a damaged Chimera...

In one turn, disaster strikes down the Imperial forces. Chimeras, Sentinels and troopers are smashed down by the Greenskins...

Another Imperial Squad goes down along with the final Sentinel...

The Remnant of the Imperial force decides to withdraw!
