The Sisters of St Demily learned that a strong Tyranid force was near their site and asked for Imperial assistance. The the Marines landing, it was agreed to provide that aid. Detachments of White Scars, Ultramarines and Space Wolves arrived just as the Tyranids made their appearance, with the Scars arriving first...
With a Bike squad supported by a Land Speeder, the Marines expected to put a hurt on the Nids...
The Bikers race ahead, and nearly wipe out a group of Hormagaunts...
The Sisters punish a band of Neurogaunts...
The Sisters deadly shooting continues when they target another band of Hormagaunts...
But then...disaster! The Scar commander makes the mistake of closing with his Bikes/Speeder, and they fall prey to Genestearlers and their Swarmlord...
The Sisters then suffer their first losses as the Tyranids close the range...
It gets worse for the Sisters, as Hormagaunts pour over the wall and butcher an entire squad...
But the Sister bring up some needed heavy fighters who make short work of those accursed Hormagaunts...
The Barbgaunts, which had been a major thorn in the sides of the Sisters, are they themselves destroyed...
Sisters fire tore up the Termagaunts...
The Wolves mixed it up with Genestearlers and Hormagaunts, dealing them heavy losses...
The White Scars lost one of their number, but put a hurt on some Warriors...
The Warriors fought back, losing another but taking down two Scars this time...
A Wolf is lost to the Parasite...
A Carnifex charges into the Wolves, and they lose two of their brothers...
The Killer-Screamer destroys a group of Sisters that had perhaps foolhardly charged outside of their walls...
The Sister within the Shrine's walls are being shot down by the barrages of the Tyranids...
The Sisters return fire does destroy Genestealers from a new group...
The Scars, while losing another brother, finish off this band of Warriors...
The Wolves find themselves in a world of hurt even with the support of the Dreadnaught...
But don't ever count out the Wolves as they destroy a Swarmlord and one of the Carnifexes...
At great cost, Sisters eliminate all of the Genestealers who penetrated the courtyard, leaving only the Swarmlord still to be dealt with...
Only two Sisters left of their immediate brethren, as the Screamer-Killer and Neurogaunts attack...
Yet the Noviates still hold their potion of the Complex...
The Protectresses of the Holy Altar end the Swarmlord...
A very stout-hearted sister with a multimelta, takes down the Screamer-Killer...
The Wolves finally take down the last Carifex, while the Sisters unleash their Rhino on a group of Termagaunts...
Not to be proving lacking in spirit, the Novitiates charge yet more Termagaunts...
Finally the Scars destroy the Biovore as the Imperials have completely annihilated the Nids...
The Emperor is pleased...
