Not yet aware of the loss on the approaches to Infernus, or even what has occurred at Tartarus, troops stationed at Acheron had been ordered to stop approaching the Hive City. Supported by a majestic Warlord Titan Tyrannus Maximus, two squads and two Leman Russ tanks from the Tallarn Desert Raiders 17th Armored, along with two squads from the famed Armageddon Steel Legion deployed forward. They were happy to see two squads of the Emperor's Angels move with them, as two squads of the Space Wolves marched with them!
The Orks' forces deploy to destroy the Imperial forces arrayed before them...

Meanwhile, off table, the Warlord Titan battled it out with a Great Gargant. Both suffered tremendous damage, with the Gargant losing more than a third of its strength. The Warlord unfortunately took a tremendous hit from the Belly Kannon that left only a few points remaining. Both Titans then withdrew from the struggle.
Meanwhile, two Boyz Mobs maneuvered through the hills to make their attack...

Orks lose another, a Trukk blows up and a Chimera is nearly destroyed...
But the Wolf Guard takes down their opponents including the Warboss...
The Steel Legion destroys that Mob...
