The Attack on Nctorious

Both tables together viewed from outside the Hive city. The Orcs have been blasting the outer Wall for some time, and a large breach can bee seen left of the Gate...

On the left, another battered section (damage marked with green die) the first Orks forces push forward...

On the right another section of wall is about to come down...

Still of on the right, defender artillery fire inflicts the first casualties...

In front of the large breach. one of the Ork bikerz is smashed...

Artillery fire on the right successfully drops more of the Boyz...

The left section of wall is nearly down as the first Orks enter Noctorious (right)...

A view of the main breach shows Gretchin getting slaughtered at the Wall (but thats what Gretchin do?) more Bikerz lost inside while the Mega Dreff is moving across the field...

The right hand section of the Wall has come down and one can see the Battlewagon inside, while that damnable artillery nearly wipes our a mob of Boyz...

Inside the left-hand fight, two Bikerz are down but the Chimera as taken damage while the Ork Wartrike is about to make a charge into those 'humies'...

A view behind the main Gate, as the Militarum prepare to sell their  lives dearly for their home...

A Space Marine squad supporting two reinforced Militarum squads on the right, facing the Battlewagon, and two Deff Dreddz...

Waaagh!

 No mere scouting party this time, all the Boyz are here for this one, with the first wave below...

A closeup of the Wartrike and Bikz...

The 'hummies' have been strengthened as well, and are ready to fight for the Emperor...

Unfortunately for the Greenskins, all the Bikz were annihilalted before they could even make their first turn! So the Boyz are joined by Grot tanks, Shokkjump Dragsta and Kustom Boom-blasta while some Gretchins are downed...

The Megatrakk Scrapjet passes by a destroyed Grot tank while the Boyz close in on the defenders...

Two Sentinels stride out to attack, only to be brought low by heavy Ork fire...

Heavy losses are inflicted on some Boyz and the Gretchins...

On the right, the defenders have just about destroyed the Boyz from the first wave while some Beast Snagga Boyz are moving up in support...

A Grot tank, the Runtherder and many more Boyz go down...

Same on the right. Something is not right with the Waaag...

But now the Orks get to it and smash the IG on the left...

Over on the right, Ork fire finally inflicts casualties (oops, where did that Cola bunker come from?)...

On the left, more Boyz mix it up, and a Chimera is destroyed...

As the sun sets (literally), the IG regroups as even more Orks arrive...

The Beast Snagga Boyz are nearly destroyed...

Things are much more Orkky on the left as only a Commissar and Enginseer remain standing...

The remaining Beast Snagga Boyz finally reach the defensive line and inflict numerous casualties...

While the Commissar goes down fighting and yet more Orks arrive, the Scrapjet is blown apart...

Two more Grot tanks are lost but the Orks are still pushing forward...

The IG move up their supporting Chimeras, but there are still a lot of Orks out there...

Time ran out for the Wednesday fight, so i set it up back home and finished the battle solo. The Orks were able to smash up the IG forces in numerous vicious melees which of course they excel at. Even the two Chimeras were vanquished. Very little of the defending force withdrew from the field...
